Two days later, though, I decided I should probably do something about the issue.

The first time, I certainly didn't want to go through the whole process again. They didn't get in the way of designing, so I just went with it. I would think, after twenty-twoĪnd a half hours of installation, if the program isn't going to install all of the components, it should at least correctly configure the ones it DOES install. However, after the install I started seeing error messages stating that certain components had not installed, or were installed but corrupt. Regardless, it finished and I was on my way. I think this is a rather lengthy amount of time to sitĪnd wait for a critical application to install.

Twenty-two and a half hours later, it finally finished.

Found the ISO file here on MSDN, downloaded it, and proceeded with installation. I had VS 2010 Express, but decided to try and upgrade to Pro.
